 
                                                                                 
                                                                                At the end of the 18th century, it housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne, an institution responsible for furnishing royal residences and maintaining their furniture, then, after the French Revolution, the Ministry of the Navy.
Today, the monument is open to visitors every day. Visitors can explore the 18th-century apartments of the Garde-Meuble’s stewards and the 19th-century state rooms.
